Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid and Treasurer Mijanur Rahman
of Dhaka University (DU) has resigned from their post on personal
grounds.
The duo submitted their resignation letters to Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid in the afternoon when they met Education Minister. They also submitted their resignation letters to Vice Chancellor Prof A A M S Arefin Siddique on Tuesday.
Prof Rashid joined at the University of Dhaka in 1985 as Assistant Professor. In 1995 he became Professor of political science in the same University. Recently he was acting as the Pro Vice- Chancellor of DU. He has been in University teaching for the last 30 years.
Whether, Prof. Dr. Mijanur Rahman was appointed as the treasurer of DU on 24.01.2009.
