Southeast University: Programs, tuition waiver and admission procedure

For Undergraduate Student:

• A student should have at least second division or minimum GPA 2.5 in both SSC & HSC examinations or a minimum GPA of 2.00 in SSC or in HSC, combined total being not lower than 6.00.
• O Level in three subjects with a GPA of 2.50 and A Level in two subjects with GPA of 2.00 above, in the scale of A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 (Not more than one E will be accepted)
• For the children of Freedom Fighters: A minimum GPA of total 5.00 in SSC and HSC examinations (Freedom Fighters Certificate must be produced)

1. EEE/ITE/CSE/ARCHITECTURE: Candidate must have Math in HSC level.
2. Textile: Candidate must have Math, Chemistry and Physics in HSC level.
3. B. Pharmacy: Candidate must have Math, Chemistry, Biology & Physics in HSC level. (Candidates who have no Mathematics in HSC they can also apply.)
   

For Postgraduate Programs:

1. MBA (Regular) : At least a Bachelor degree with 2nd division / class (with required GPA/CGPA).
2. MBA (Executive) : At least a Bachelor degree with 2nd division / class (with required GPA/CGPA) plus 2 years’ work experience after graduation.
3. MBA (Friday) : At least a Bachelor degree with 2nd division / class (with required GPA/CGPA) plus 2 years’ work experience.
4. MBA (1 year) : At least a 4-year BBA degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (with required GPA).
5. LLB (Pass): At least a Bachelor’s degree.
6. LLM (1 year) : At least an LLB (Hon’s) degree with CGPA 2.25 (with required GPA).
7. B Ed : At least a Bachelor's degree (For Teachers, Bachelor degree plus 4 years’ work experience and minimum GPA 2.00 both in HSC & SSC).
8. M Ed : At least a B. Ed. degree (For Teachers, Bachelor degree plus 4 years’ work experience and minimum GPA 2.00 both in HSC & SSC).
9. MA Islamic Studies : At least a Bachelor's degree.
10. MA English : At least a BA (Hon’s) in English.
11. MDS : At least a Bachelor degree with 2nd division / class (with required GPA/CGPA). 

Undergraduate & Postgraduate Programs:

NB: Students who got themselves admitted with fake Certificates will not be given degree Certificates and shall not be allowed to attend the convocation.Course waiver allowed. In case of major in T.A.M tk 5,000 will be added in Laboratory fees..

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

The completed Application Form must be submitted to the Admissions Office with the following documents:

1. Admission Form on payment of Tk. 500.
2. Original with attested copies of all academic certificates/mark sheets.
3. Three copies of Passport-size Photo.
4. Job experience certificate (Only for 48 credits MBA)
   
   

TUITION FEE WAIVER:

For Undergraduate Student:

1. 100% tuition waiver–GPA 5.00 (Golden GPA) in HSC excluding 4th subject.
2. 70% tuition waiver – GPA 4.80 – 4.99 in HSC excluding 4th subject.
3. 30% tuition waiver – GPA 4.50 – 4.79 in HSC excluding 4th subject.
4. 15% tuition waiver – GPA 4.00 – 4.49 in HSC excluding 4th subject.
5. Merit Scholarship based on semester final results. 
   

Students have to pay admission fee at the time of Admission. All categories of waiver rules for undergraduate students are subject to the condition that there was no break of study at SSC & HSC levels.

• Tuition waiver is applicable at the entry level and will remain valid in the subsequent semesters if the semester result is at least A average (numbering scores 75-79).
• Tuition waiver will be applicable only to original tuition fees. No waiver will be allowed in case of re-take, re-sit, improvement & internship.
• Tuition waiver will be granted only on the basis of results of offered courses. If any one drops any course/s, he/she will not be allowed any tuition waiver.
• Siblings and spouse will be eligible for 25% Tuition waiver.

For Postgraduate Student:

• At least 3 persons coming from any particular corporate body or institution will be treated as a special group. This group will be eligible for 10% tuition waiver.
• Siblings and spouse will be eligible for 25% Tuition waiver.
• Tuition waiver will be applicable only to tuition fees. No waiver will be allowed in case of re-take, re-sit, improvement & internship.
• Tuition waiver will be granted only on the basis of results of offered courses. If any one drops any course/s, he/she will not be allowed any tuition waiver.
• Tuition waiver is applicable at the entry level and will remain valid in the subsequent semesters if the semester results is not less than A (numbering scores 75-79).

All payment should be made through BRAC Bank or Dhaka Bank or Shahjalal Bank Ltd.

The University authority reserves the rights to change the fee structure at any time.
